It’s a Saturday night, and there just isn’t anything good on television. Summer TV can be that way, and you can’t stand to lose at Uno or Yahtzee on yet another family game night. Don’t fear, Under the Stars movie night to the rescue! Head down 33 West and be ready to enjoy a movie the whole family can appreciate at Westover Park in Harrisonburg, VA.
You may have missed Westover Park’s first outdoor movie night. They showed The Sandlot, but you don’t have to miss another.
“Come sit on the hill behind the Cecil F. Gilkerson Community Activities Center and enjoy the show,” it says on the Harrisonburg city website. “In case of rain, the movie will be cancelled.”
The final two showings this summer are on Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, August 17 at 9:15PM.
On June 15th (this Saturday), the movie choice is Grease. And here is the Internet Movie Database summary in case you’re unfamiliar with this classic: “Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance?”
On August 17th (not this Saturday), the movie choice is The Hunger Games. “Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to compete.” Thanks IMDB, you never let us down.
And neither does good ol’ YouTube:
